Tribal Sub-Plan Input Distribution Programme at Kulathur Unnathi, Chakkittappara

ICAR – Indian Institute of Spices Research organised an input distribution programme at Kulathur Unnathi, Muthukad, Chakkittappara Grama Panchayat on August 7, 2026, under the institute's Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) activities.

As part of the programme, biofertilizers and micronutrient mixtures were distributed to tribal farmers participating in the Turmeric Value Chain Development Programme, supporting improved crop production and sustainable nutrient management.

Dr. Sajesh V K, Senior Scientist, handed over the micronutrient mixture to Shri Balan, Ooru Mooppan. Dr. Vinu V, Senior Scientist; Shri Surajan P C, Member, Chakkittappara Grama Panchayat; and Shri K P Chandran Master, Ward Development Committee Convener, addressed the gathering.

 

The programme reinforced ICAR-IISR's commitment to tribal welfare, supporting sustainable turmeric cultivation and improved livelihoods among tribal farming communities of the Chakkittappara region.
