ICAR-IISR organized a Millet Exhibition on 27th December 2023 as part of the International Year of Millets Celebrations. The event was inaugurated by the Director, Dr. R Dinesh, and witnessed participation from the heads of divisions, scientists, staff members and students. Various millet varieties, including little millet, proso millet, finger millet, pearl millet, foxtail millet, barnyard millet, and browntop millet, were displayed in the event showcasing the rich diversity of these nutritional powerhouses. Our inhouse Cardamom flavoured Sorghum cookies made from the nutrient rich sorghum millet was also displayed. The event was coordinated by Dr. K Kandiannan, Chairman of the International Year of Millets Celebration Committee.
