Swachhta Fortnight celebration observed by ICAR- Indian Institute of Spices Research concluded on Thursday. C P Suresh Babu, senior health inspector, Family Health Centre Kunnamangalam and district coordinator of Aardhram project was the chief guest at the valedictory function.
Mr. Suresh Babu delivered a lecture on 'Suchithwavum Puthuvyadhikalum' as part of the ceremony. Dr. Santhosh J Eapen, director ICAR-IISR presided over the programme.
ICAR-IISR organized a series of events as part of the Swachhta fortnight observance at the headquarters at Chelavoor, regional centre at Appangala, Experimental farm at Peruvannamuzhi and at KVK Peruvannamuzhi. A team of experts also visited Kattippara, the adopted village of ICAR-IISR under Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav project, for crop surveillance and monitoring.
Dr. M Alagupalamuthirsolai welcomed the gathering. Dr. C N Biju senior scientist briefed about the Swachhta activities. Assistant administrative officer P Muraleedharan delivered vote of thanks. Prizes to the winners of various competitions organized as part of Swachhta fortnight celebration was also distributed.
