Improved varieties
  • Two high yielding and high quality varieties of cinnamon namely, Nityashree and Navashree yielding 55.6 and 54.2 kg (dry bark)/ha were released.
Propagation
  • Various vegetative propagation techniques namely, approach grafting in clove, epicotyl grafting in nutmeg, softwood grafting in garcinia and allspice and cuttings and layerings in cinnamon and cassia were standardized for large scale multiplication of planting material.
